...to MK and Mrs K, who celebrate their sixth anniversary today. It scares me that I have friends my age who have been married that long, and it scares me how long ago 1999 was. And that the Most Adorable Boy in the World will be six before the summer's out.

MK is still chuckling over the fact that pseudomonas and I walked all the way across London due to pseudomonas's "religious fundamentalism", as MK likes to call it. Mainly because he likes to wind me up, rather than because he really can't tell the difference between a strict interpretation of shabbat and a desire to attack people who don't share one's religious views.

Things are going well for all three of them in Melbourne, by the way. I've been chatting to MK over IM a couple of times recently. It's good to see him happy, and wonderful as always to talk to him.

Heh. It scares me (sometimes) that my (younger) sister has been married since 1998. [Also, I am occasionally scared by how little I've changed since the wedding photos. Chopping all my hair off: good plan this year!]

Woah, if my younger sibs start getting married I shall really freak out. Though we're all four of us single at the moment so there are no immediate prospects, thankfully.

I am occasionally scared by how little I've changed since the wedding photos.
This may have its advantages, if you also haven't aged in 8 years!

I'm in no position to say this, given I've just had a radical haircut myself and given that I hardly know you, but... *meep* Oh well, there is something to be said for a new image, at least. Good luck with it.

I'm not claiming that. Marginally less geeky; a bit more weathered.

*meep*

The traditional way for someone in my position to do this is the "charity haircut": if we raise £100 for [some charity, probably cancer-related given my family history] then at some point I will sit in the pub, in public, and someone will chop off my hair. Photos will be taken, everyone will have a good time and wish me luck, and I will start the next day with no hair and a much shorter shower...

I do hope you gave him my regards, or that you do next time you talk to him.
